CT Armed Security Officer Endorsement Course (Blue Card)
ARE YOU LOOKING TO GET YOUR CT ARMED GUARD (BLUE CARD) ENDORSEMENT?
- Already a security officer but are looking for a promotion or an advancement in salary?
- Are you an armed security officer that just moved to Connecticut?
Then let’s get you started!!

All armed security officers must meet licensing requirements. Connecticut state law requires extra training and certification for armed guards before they can be approved by a security agency. This includes an 8-hour training course, followed by yearly requalification.
The license that allows security officers to carry a firearm is called the CT Blue Card. The CT pistol permit includes an endorsement, similar to how a driver’s license shows special permissions like a CDL or motorcycle license. This endorsement proves that someone is a trained armed professional.
Armed professionals include armored truck drivers, ATM security, bank security, and protection services for dignitaries, celebrities, and executives.
Our instructors are certified by the CT State Police as firearm instructors.
To carry a pistol or revolver on the job, security officers must complete this intermediate-level course and receive approval from a security agency.
During the live-fire qualification, participants must score at least 80% (240/300) to show they can use a firearm safely and accurately. We recommend practicing with the firearm you plan to register.
Course Cost: $200.00
