The cost to attend this 4 hour course is $100.00
CT BLUE GUARD
- Possess a Connecticut State Pistol Permit
- Possess a Connecticut Security Officer Identification Card (Guard Card)
- Thoroughly understand the firearm to be used for class (How to load, unload, discharge accurately, etc.)
- The Armed Guard Course of Fire
- Handgun Nomenclature and Advanced Function
- Working from a Holster
- Reloading – Slide Lock and Retention
- Working through malfunctions
- 1 Handed Shooting
- Advanced Firearm Fundamentals
- Pistols: Standard semi-automatic pistols.
- 200 Rounds of ammunition for one firearm (Calibers accepted: .380, .40, .45ACP, .357 SIG, 9mm and 10mm.) Only “factory” brass ammunition will be utilized for qualification. The ammunition should have the same ballistic characteristics of that which will be carried in the handgun upon successful completion of the program. No re-loads or hand-loaded ammunition are allowed.
- Minimum of two (2) CT standard capacity (10 Round) magazines for the pistol. Three (3) magazines if the capacity of such magazine is under the CT standard capacity.
- A minimum of one (1) Magazine pouch – Available for Rent if needed.
- OWB (Out of the Waistband) holster for the pistol. – Available for Rent if needed.
- For safety, no cheap nylon or leather, no inside-the-waistband / pants holsters.
- Eye and hearing protection – Available for Rent if needed.
- Revolvers: Double-action revolvers only. NO SINGLE ACTION REVOLVERS
- 200 Rounds of ammunition (Calibers accepted: .38, .357, 9mm and .45ACP). Only “factory” brass ammunition will be utilized for qualification. The ammunition should have the same ballistic characteristics of that which will be carried in the handgun upon successful completion of the program. No re-loads or hand-loaded ammunition are allowed.
- Minimum of two (2) speed-loaders for the revolver.
- Speed-loader pouch
- OWB (Out of the Waistband) holster for the revolver.
- For safety, no cheap nylon or leather, inside-the-waistband / pants holsters
- Eye and hearing protection. – Available for Rent if needed.
- A baseball cap
- Crew neck shirt
- Long pants
- Sturdy footwear, suitable for rapid turning (REQUIRED).
- Sturdy belt to support holster and magazine pouches or speed loaders (REQUIRED).
- Shorts, bare feet, sandals, and dress shoes are not allowed.
